German Speaking Ecommerce Project Manager – Lidl – Wimbledon
We are a large, fast growing retailer with a highly differentiated approach within the UK market. Based in south-west London, this is a brand new role within a growing team, so this is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to develop themselves within the business. You will be instrumental in helping to deliver a new online platform with the aim of acquiring new customers and driving online sales.
Working closely with the e-Commerce Director, the e-Commerce Project Manager will be leading multiple projects to enhance business growth and revenue. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong e-commerce background to help shape the future of this new division!
What will you do
• Running & managing the projects rollout process to ensure budgets and deadlines are kept within targets
• Developing a deep understanding of ecommerce and multichannel, contributing not only to individual projects but also to the ongoing formation and success of other functional areas
• Communicating with different stakeholders and managing specific projects with them
• Identifying key KPIs, developing business cases, and measuring success to ensure continuous improvement
• Identifying issues and creating problem-solving strategies
• Providing reports for key stakeholders
• Identifying new business opportunities to drive revenue and save cost
• Keeping abreast of emerging industry practices
• The role will also require occasional trips to our International Head Office in Germany
What will you need
• Intermediate level German both spoken and written
• A business-minded approach – commercially savvy and resilient
• Customer centric – able to champion the end customers’ needs
• Great influencing skills with the ability to build effective working relationships quickly even remotely
• Excellent communication skills – able to express ideas clearly, both verbally & in writing
• A proven ability managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
• The ability to prioritise effectively – ensuring that projects are delivered on-time, within budget and to the best creative and technical standards
• To be a team player with a positive outlook
• The ability to work using your own initiative, effectively managing and controlling project resources
• To adopt a logical approach, but also have the technical and creative capacity to look at the wider solution and project delivery requirements
• Previous project management experience preferably using different methodologies (e.g. Prince 2, Agile)
• Experience of working with an trading e-commerce B2C operation preferred
An advantage if you have
• Formal project management qualification(s)
• Basic understanding of web analytics
• Experience with SAP Hybris is highly desirable, however, this is not essential for the role
• Previous experience managing teams and resolving technical issues
• Strong knowledge of UX and customer journey
• Experience within the retail sector

• Salary from £58,500 per annum but negotiable depending on experience
